Acrylamide Gels give you
maximum resolution in a minimum amount of time. This system is excellently
suited for highly resolved and reproducible separation of proteins, peptides,
and nucleic acids. High-speed separation
not only provides valuable time savings, but also minimizes dispersion due to
diffusion and thermal convection and prevents induced lane distortion
(Experimental Medicine, Vol. 20, No. 13, Sep. 2002). By incorporating a gel chamber design
that enables the lower buffer to cool the gel cassette and using glass plates
for the pre-made PANTERA gels, these gels can be run at exceptionally high
voltage without overheating. This minimizes diffusion, prevents degradation
of the gel matrix by heating, and maintains current flow conditions that
yield exceptionally high resolution. Thus, you obtain consistently straight

ERICATM MP Electrophoresis Systems
ERICATM MP Electrophoresis Systems are designed and
optimized to deliver the reproducibility, resolution, and speed needed to
generate exceptional quality results. Consistent temperature produces better results ERICATM MP Electrophoresis Systems are configured to
keep the temperature of the gel cool and constant, even at very high power
settings. The ERICATM MP design isolates the upper buffer chamber
to prevent it from coming in contact with the gels. Further, by immersing the
gels in the lower buffer chamber, both sides of both gels are in contact with
the buffers. This unique design helps ensure a low even temperature across
the gel minimizing migration effects such as smiling or band scatter, and,
when used with Pantera gels that have glass plates,
exceptionally high voltages can be used for electrophoresis. With the ERICA
System, you obtain consistently straight sample migration with sharper

When compared with a
conventional system, ERICATM unique design ensures a consistent
and even gel temperature during electrophoresis, which minimizes artifacts
and maximizes resolution. Faster migration, sharper bands The shorter migration
distance used with this system result not only in tremendous time savings but
also minimize the dispersion of bands from diffusion and thermal convection. More sensitivity, less sample The high resolution
combined with short run times produces exceptionally sharp bands, which
translates into exceptional sensitivity. For similar sensitivity to standard
electrophoresis systems, you typically only need to load 50 - 60% of the
sample amount. User-Friendly Apparatus The ERICA System has
been designed to rapidly and easy assemble and disassemble. In addition, we

Glass plates ensure highest resolution and the fastest
migration:
Specially developed
using a unique and optimized polymerization methods, PANTERATM Precast Gels provide razor-sharp resolution, better
western-blot transfer efficiency, and exceptional reproducibility. Every gel
size has a wide variety of comb formats compatible with multichannel
pipettes and extensive selections of gel types, concentrations, and
fractionation ranges.
PANTERA Gels are cast in
high-quality glass plates. In addition to ensuring optimal migration and
resolution since acrylamide adhere more tightly to
glass than to plastic, the plates enable PANTERA gels to be run with
exceptional speed in ERICA chambers. The higher conductivity of glass combined
with the design of the ERICA
chambers allows the gels to be run at exceptionally high current while
maintaining resolution and separation.
Saves
time and money:
Instead of spending 2-3
hours preparing the reagents and casting a poly-acryamide
gel in-house, you simply open the pre-cast PANTERA Gel, load it in the ERICA
Chamber, add pre-made buffer, and run the gel. In addition to the convenience
and time savings, you have the assurance of knowing the gel will get optimal
results from a quality-controlled product. It is estimated that about 30% of
hand-made gels do not provide satisfactory results. Get it right the first time

Wide
variety of gels for optimal separation:
PANTERA
Gels utilize standard Tris-HCL chemistry which
provides the widest range of separation over a wide range of gel percentages.
Thus, with PANTERA gels you have the option of selecting from a wide range of
different percentage acrylamide gels - each of which
separate different ranges of molecules depending on their size. With other gel
chemistries the separation range is typically very narrow, and so, you do not
provide the flexibility of PANTERA Gels. Bionexus offers several types of
PANTERATM Precast
Gels for different applications - each available with different percentages of polyacrylamide. You can easily select the appropriate gel
for rapid and accurate sample analysis for applications as diverse as protein
separation, peptide analysis, nucleic acid preparation, etc.
Gradient
gels maintain rectangular shape :
Unlike standard gradient
gels, PANTERA gradient gels maintain their rectangular shape after fixation.
Typically, during fixation, the low percentage acrylamide
regions of the gel at the top contract more than the high percentage regions at
the bottom. This gives rise to the typical trapezoid shape. However, PANTERA
Gels have been formulated to prevent this distortion, which makes analysis of
migration patter much easier.
Exceptional
reproducibility facilitates image analysis
The high reproducibility
provides improved gel-to-gel band and spot matching accuracy for 1-D and 2-D
imaging. This feature minimizes adjusting and resetting parameters for gel
comparisons and automated identification.
